Le Petit Prince French Classes

Nurturing Bilingual Blossoms with our Specialised French Lessons

Our specially designed French lessons are perfect for sparking a lifelong love of language in young learners. With engaging activities, interactive sessions, and fun-filled tasks, we transform learning French into an exciting adventure. Each month we focus on a theme and all of our music, stories, games and activities are linked to this theme allowing the children to practice and use new vocabulary over multiple sessions.

Building Language Skills through Immersive Activities

We understand that children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why our French lessons are filled with stimulating activities that involve gestures, expressions, body language, and movements. From storytelling and songs to games and puzzles, every activity is a language learning opportunity, designed to stimulate both cognitive and emotional development.

A Supportive Environment for Budding Francophones

Is your little one new to French? Fear not! We ensure a nurturing, stress-free environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves in French at their own pace. We encourage children to respond to prompts and questions in English if they’re not yet ready to express in French. Gradually, as their comfort with the language grows, we guide them towards French as the main mode of communication.

Throughout the class, the educators ensure a supportive and inclusive environment, allowing each child to progress at their own pace. They use positive reinforcement and encouragement to boost confidence and make the learning experience enjoyable for every child.

Jess

Founder

In the year 2017, the seeds of Le Petit Prince French Family Daycare were sown, born from my love for the beautiful French language and my enduring passion for working with children. As the years unfolded, I found myself embracing a new chapter after returning from maternity leave following the arrival of my son. It was then that I decided to take another step in my journey and open a 2-hour French class for 2-5 year-olds. My aim has always been to reach more families and offer the gift of French education to the children of Sydney. Creating a nurturing and caring environment for the little ones in my care is of utmost importance, just as much as providing a professional and engaging service for parents and families. As both a devoted mother and experienced childcare worker, I have tailored these classes to be perfectly suited for our young learners. The core philosophy is to make learning a joyous experience by incorporating fun activities such as games, art, craft, singing, dancing, and immersing the children in the French language. This helps to build their confidence and foster a love for language at an early age. At Le Petit Prince, we believe in the power of language and its ability to enrich the lives of children. Through a blend of nurturing care and playful learning, we aspire to create a positive impact on our little bilingual buddies, helping them blossom and grow in their linguistic journey.

Sandrine

Educatrice

Bonjour, je m’appelle Sandrine, Let me introduce myself. Prior to my arrival in Sydney with my husband and three children, I embarked on a remarkable career transition. After graduating from an engineering school and completing a PhD in medical imaging, I followed my passion for education and established three thriving daycares in Lyon, France. Since settling in Sydney in 2015, I have continued to make a positive impact in the field of education. Starting as a nanny, I gained valuable experience and soon began offering French tutoring services. I have also worked in daycare centers and primary schools, introducing children to the beauty of the French language and culture. My commitment to providing the best learning experience led me to pursue further professional development, including studying the DAEFLE (Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère). I began working with Le Petit Prince in 2022 and love to see the children gain confidence in French and find joy in learning. With my commitment to providing an exceptional learning experience and personalised approach, I am here to make your child's language learning journey a wonderful adventure.
